# Transaq Connector

Transaq Connector is a gateaway provided by [FINAM](http://www.finam.ru/) broker to allow access to trading.

Before setting up, make sure that the broker has connected you to trading through the [**Transaq Connector**](https://www.finam.ru/howtotrade/soft/tconnector/) and provided you with a username and password. The username and password from the [**Transaq**](https://www.finam.ru/howtotrade/soft/transaq/) terminal cannot be used.

Follow the steps below to set up a connection:

1\. Launch Tiger.com and select **File → Connections → Configure** from the main menu.

2\. In the window that opens, click **“+” Create new connection** and select Transaq in the list that appears.

3\. In the window that opens, select **Server** from the list, enter your **Username** and **Password**.

4. If you have received a login and password to connect via Transaq Connector for the first time, then you need to change it, otherwise trading will not be available.

5. To change the password, right-click on the created Transaq Connector connection, and then **Change password**.

6. The password can be changed from temporary to permanent when you are actively connected to the Transaq server (to the broker's trading server). In the broker's personal account, you can only reset the temporary password to the same temporary one.

7. Click **OK**.

The connection has now been set up. To establish a connection, select **File → Connections → Transaq** in the main Tiger.com menu.

To get the Transaq Connector library log files, do the following:

1. In the main menu select **File → Connections → Configure**.
2. In the window that opens, right-click on the name of the connection.
3. In the menu that opens, select the **Open logs** item.

Log files are required by your broker's employees in order to analyze problems that arise.
