Gate.io

General steps

To configure the connection, you need to perform the following steps:

Registration

Register on the gate.io exchange website (if you haven't already).

Verification

In your exchange account, complete the KYC process in the "Identity Verification" section.

2FA

Open the Security Settings section and enable two-factor authentication (2FA).

Switch to API

Click the profile icon and go to the "API Management" section:

IP Permissions

In the "API Key Note" field, enter a custom name for the key, then select:

  • IP Permissions - Later;

  • API Key Type - API v4 key;

  • Account Type - Trading account.

Trading permits

Enable the following permissions with "Read and Write" access:

  • Spot Trading;

  • Perpetual Futures;

  • Account.

Confirmation

If the API terms of service are acceptable to you, acknowledge the risks and select "I accept":

Enter the 2FA codes / financial password (if applicable) into the corresponding fields to complete the key creation process, then select "Confirm":

Key information

The API keys will appear on the page that opens; save them:

Connecting to the terminal

Launch Tiger.com and select File β†’ Connections β†’ Configure from the main menu.

In the window that opens, click the "+ Create new connection" button and select Gate.io from the list that appears.

In the window that opens, select the server (Classic Spot or Classic Futures) and enter the API keys obtained from the Gate website:

Upon successful connection setup, you will see a corresponding message and a green icon next to the Gate.io connection:

  • IP Permissions - Later;

  • API Key Type - API v4 key;

  • Account Type - Trading account.

  • Margin Trading (Unified Account).

In the window that opens, click the "+ Create New Connection" button and select Gate.io from the list that appears.

In the window that opens, select the server (Unified Margin Account) and choose the margin mode set in your account's trading settings. Four options are available:

  • Classic Spot;

  • Single-Currency;

  • Multi-Currency;

  • Portfolio.

Then enter the API keys obtained from the Gate website:
